In 2006 mr. Bert Flint – 75 years old – donated his private museum Tiskiwin to the university Cadi Ayyad in Marrakech

Bert Flint, who founded the Tiskiwin Museum, was born in 1931 in Holland. He settled in Marrakech in 1957 and became a passionate champion of Moroccan rural culture. Numerous elements of it showed him how deeply Morocco is bound to the Sahara. He has built up his own collection of objects that most powerfully reflect the art of ornamentation of these peoples. Part of the collection is shown at the permanent exhibition of the museum Tiskiwin.
